What started as one mom’s idea to make Christmas more magical for children has reached another exciting milestone.
The Magical Underland® Christmas Tree Tent (SKU 801) has been recognized by STEM.org Educational Research™, receiving both STEM.org Authenticated™ recognition and the Best In STEM™ Distinction.
For The Magical Underland®, this recognition is especially meaningful because our Christmas Tree Tent was created to be much more than holiday décor. It was designed as a place where children can imagine, discover, create, play and learn.
A Christmas Tree Kids Can Actually Play Inside
Most Christmas trees are something children are told not to touch.
The Magical Underland® began with a completely different idea:
What if the Christmas tree became part of their childhood adventure?
The Magical Underland® Christmas Tree Tent transforms from a year-round play tent into a beautiful Christmas tree hideaway for the holiday season.
Inside, children can create their own little world—a place for imaginative play, reading, storytelling, quiet time and Christmas memories.
Instead of simply looking at the Christmas tree, children can experience the magic from the inside.
Official STEM.org Recognition
The Magical Underland® Christmas Tree Tent has received:
STEM.org Authenticated™ — Educational Product
STEM ID: 194784599
Best In STEM™ Distinction — Top 5% Award Seal
STEM ID: 194785152
These credentials represent an exciting achievement for a product that began as a simple idea at home and developed through years of designing, prototyping and improving.
For parents looking for a STEM-inspired Christmas gift, an imaginative play tent or a unique indoor play space, this recognition adds another dimension to what Magical Underland® was created to offer.
Where Christmas Magic Meets STEM Learning
Children learn naturally through play.
Building stories, creating imaginary worlds, solving little problems and playing together can encourage skills that extend far beyond the playroom.
The Magical Underland® experience can support opportunities involving:
Science • Technology • Engineering • Mathematics • Collaboration • Creativity • Problem Solving
A child might turn the tent into Santa’s workshop one day, a reading hideaway the next, or an imaginary laboratory, clubhouse or adventure headquarters.
There is no single correct way to play inside The Magical Underland®.
That is part of the magic.
From a Mom's Idea to an Award-Recognized Product
The Magical Underland® has a very personal beginning.
The inspiration came when my daughter Laura was only six months old. She pulled on our Christmas tree, and it nearly fell.
Like so many parents, I found myself thinking about how we constantly tell young children:
“Don't touch the Christmas tree.”
I started imagining something different.
What if children could have a Christmas tree that was actually made for them? What if they could crawl inside it, play underneath it and create their own Christmas memories?
That question eventually became The Magical Underland® Christmas Tree Tent.
The journey from an idea to a real product has included sketches, prototypes, manufacturing, factory visits, testing, patent work and countless improvements.
Receiving STEM.org recognition is another special chapter in that journey.
More Than a Christmas Decoration
One of the most important parts of The Magical Underland® concept is that the fun doesn't have to end when Christmas does.
With its interchangeable design, the product can be enjoyed as an indoor children's play tent throughout the year and transformed into its Christmas tree configuration during the holiday season.
That means one product can become part of birthdays, playtime, reading time, imaginative adventures—and then transform into something especially magical at Christmas.
A Christmas Gift Designed to Create Memories
Children eventually outgrow toys.
But the memories created around them can last much longer.
Our goal with The Magical Underland® has always been to create something children remember—the excitement of crawling inside their own Christmas tree, reading underneath the lights, playing make-believe and waiting for Santa in their special hideaway.
Receiving STEM.org Authenticated™ recognition and the Best In STEM™ Distinction makes us even more excited about what comes next.
From one mom's idea to an award-recognized product, this adventure is only beginning.
